Glas Team Rider Steven Newton stepped it up last Sunday at The PLA event which went down at Ocean Beach in San Diego, California. The surf was solid with some 15 foot faces so conditions were challenging to say the least. The contest directors along with Surfer rep Colin McPhillips almost canceled the 2nd day of the event but our own Steven Newton stepped up and rallied the rest of the boys to show some balls and surf it out instead of splitting points and prize purse. Once the smoke had cleared Steven had 2 broken boards a 5th place finish and a couple of worn out arms to show for it. Congrats to all the surfers in the event for charging.
